It serves 244,555 residential customers in Kansas. At 13.13¢ per kilowatt-hour it is one of the cheaper places to buy electricity in Kansas, 13.2% under the statewide average of 15.13¢.

Its customers use more electricity than the national norm, 973 kilowatt-hours a month against 871, which amplifies whatever the rate does.
